Aegis Security Key Issues 

For workstation stand-alone installs, the yellow Aegis security key must be plugged into your LPT1 port in order for the program to run.  The following issues might occur if setup or installation is incomplete.

Program says "Aegis Not Found"!

·          Make sure the Key is plugged into the LPT1 port.  If the key is plugged in and a printer is connected to it, the printer must be turned on.

Program says “Device Driver not Found”

·          For  Windows 9.x including 95, 98 and ME
1. This is a one time only requirement which requires administrative privileges.
2. Go to ...\HDS2000\Drivers\Win95_98 folder.
3. Double-click or open the file DDINSTAL.EXE.
4. Click the Express mode.
5. Your operating system will tell you if you need to reboot or not.

·          For Windows NT including 4.0, 2000 and XP
1. This is a one time only requirement which requires administrative privileges.
2. Go to ...\HDS2000\Drivers\WinNT folder.
3. Double-click or open the file NTREG.BAT.
4. The screen will flash for less than one second and you will be able to run the program without have to reboot.
